INTUIT

INTUIT is an interactive tactile physicalization for user interpretation of RADAR technology. In this paper, we introduce a physicalization that represents the RADAR reflection strength, which is highly influenced by surface roughness, as a tactile texture and aim to receive feedback from Inuit in the Arctic. For Inuit, such a representation technique has the potential to support locally generated safety maps and reduce life-threatening risks related to sea-ice travel.
